Aluminium Number Plates

Here at Marksdanes we manufacture pressed aluminum number plates on site with our period number plate press. This means that on receipt of payment we can both manufacture and dispatch your new plate the same day.

There are two shapes available, Oblong 520mm x 108mm or Square 305mm x 213mm. The digits are 79mm tall.

You can choose which shape or have one of each. They look great on all Classic Cars and we are happy to make spoof number plates for you to fit to your car at shows (like the ones in the picture).

The legal age limit in the UK for use on the road is up to January 1973. (Maximum amount of digits per plate is 7).

To comply with new laws on the supply of number plates you will need to supply us with copies of the following documents. They are split into the two following categories :

1. PROOF OF IDENTITY

(A) Photo card driving licence (this is the preferred document to cover proof of identity and if you are using this document you can go straight to PROOF OF ENTITLEMENT and choose one document from that section)

(B) Recent Bank / Building Society statement or recent Utility bill (less then 6 months old). If using this as proof of identity you will also have to provide one of the following in addition

(1) Current paper driving licence
(2) Passport
(3) Credit / Debit card with photograph
(4) Travel pass card with photograph
(5) Foreign National identity card

2. PROOF OF ENTITLEMENT (ONE TO BE PROVIDED)

(1) Registration document (this does not have to be registered in your name)
(2) Certificate of entitlement to a mark
(3) Cherished transfer retention document
(4) Vehicle licence renewal form
(5) Record of the insurance claim number and the insurers name (for repairs approved by an insurance company)

We accept photocopies of any of the above documents and you can black out or cut out any sensitive material such as bank account numbers and balances etc.
This all sounds like a lot of effort to buy a pair of number plates but if you have understood our description properly, all you are being asked for are two or three photocopies to be posted with your cheque for payment.
We can export number plates without any of the above paperwork.
